Visual Story Lab is a project of Resource Media. We believe at our core that good communications are a critical element to all change, large and small. This project stems from years of experience witnessing deep investments of time, energy and resources into how people tell stories in pursuit of social change, but very little into how to show why it matters. With the world awash in visual messages, and policy and consumer arenas dominated by sophisticated corporate communications, we saw the need to start leveling the playing field with the best knowledge, ideas and experience out there.
This project was made possible through the generous support of the Brainerd Foundation, the Compton Foundation and the Seattle Foundation. Resource Media’s work to share, apply and expand this work in the field is ongoing. Please contact us if you would like to work with us to optimize your organization’s visual communications, or would like a customized visual storytelling training for your community.
We are also grateful for the advice and support we received from an advisory board who enriched this project with their knowledge, experience and perspective.
