Cat has over twenty years of communication and writing experience around energy, conservation and public health issues. Cat leads Resource Media’s work on energy efficiency, promoting good messaging and images at the city, state and national level. She conceived of Resource Media’s Women at the Center website, which helps build bridges between the reproductive health rights and conservation communities. Cat particularly likes working with partners to boost their communications skills, and helping to devise smart strategies to promote tough issues.

Highlights & Background

Never let anyone tell you your liberal arts degree might go to waste! Cat’s background in the brain science of communications started as an undergrad, where her coursework covered everything from comparative philosophies to neurochemistry and cognitive psychology. Cat started talking about energy, environmental and public health issues as an environmental reporter for outlets including Greenwire and Audubon magazine. Before joining Resource Media in 2011, Cat led communications teams at Earthjustice and Defenders of Wildlife.
